February | Empties & Mini Reviews

Another month done, and another bunch of empties. I've just realised that as I use up more and more of the already opened products in my collection and as my routine becomes brand new things that I open and use consistently, I will have fewer and fewer empties as the days go by. That's not going to stop me from trying to curb my habit to hoard products but its just a realisation I've made as I'm beginning to see fewer nearly used up in my collection right now. Right so onto the usual rundown of the things I enjoyed and didn't in the last month and whether they warrant a repurchase...

Sanctuary Spa Shower Oil
Gorgeous scent. Leaves skin clean, moisturised and silky smooth. Affordable treat that feels much more luxurious.

Maybelline Lash Sensational
One of my all time favourite affordable mascaras. Volume, curl, length - it does it all without crumbling or smudging.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
As if I haven’t already mentioned this a billion times before. Best way to remove eye makeup.

Tosowoong Pure Green Tea Mask
A surprisingly good fit.

Caudalie Rose Pamplemousse Hand Cream
My favourite hand cream formula in a beautiful scent. Handbag staple. Already have back-ups in various other scents.

Bean Body Coffee Scrub
If you forget to have coffee in the morning and you use this, don’t worry because the scent of this will give you that instant pick up. It leaves my skin so super smooth and soft but not greasy or oily just gorgeous.

Radox Peony Shower Gel
Beautiful bright packaging that just cheers me right up. Reminds me of my childhood with its classic smell.

This works In Transit Camera Close-Up
A hydrating primer that has a matte finish. Perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. An excellent makeup primer. Far too good to waste as a mask.

Superdrug Glycolic Overnight Peel
Fantastic little bargain buy that gently but effectively exfoliates skin. My 2nd tube of the stuff. Already have a back-up.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me
A classic. Can never go wrong with it.

Biore Sunscreen
Learnt some unsavoury things about some of the ingredients in this but until I find a better replacement, this is still the sunscreen I would repurchase.

Glossier Milky Jelly
I really enjoyed this as a morning cleanse as its hydrating and doesn't irritate my eye area with a very delicate scent.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
This is actually a definite repurchase but it’s a pricey little number so I would definitely wait until there’s a serious discount on it.

Laneige Sleeping Mask
Cooling and soothing overnight mask. Light fresh scent. Skin looks plump and feels smoother in the morning.

Espa Hair MaskEspa Hair Mask
I ended up using this whole tube in one use on my scalp and hair overnight. It wasn’t heavy on my head and didn’t bother me while I slept. Very light scent and easy to wash out in the morning. Left my scalp cleaner, hair softer but not shinier.

Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray
Loved this before but forced myself to finish it. Started smelling really alcoholic and didn’t find it so effective in controlling oils.

Omorovicza Foaming Cleanser
I hate that I love this so much even though as the lovely Beautylymin pointed out it is one of their more affordable products. A gentle cleanse that leaves skin squeaky clean while nourished.

Michael Van Clark 3 More Inches Shampoo & Conditioner*
Fresh scented hair care duo that cleansed and hydrated my hair without weighing it down. Didn’t help my greasy scalp though.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads Travel
Very gentle exfoliating pads in a small travel friendly size

Bioderma Tode shampoo
A deceptively generous sample size. A very fluid formula that cleanses without foaming too much and left my scalp feeling clean but not stripped.

Jurlique Rose Water Mist
Love this product. Hate the price tag. A soothing facial mist with a fine, even spritzer and gorgeous glass packaging.

Hylamide Low Molecular HA
I already have another bottle of this. Better, lighter, less stickier version of The Ordinary one. Absorbs quickly and moderately hydrates.

Benefit The Porefessional
I’m probably the only person that doesn’t find this iconic product to be effective on my pores or help with makeup longevity.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
Great multipurpose balm but I bought this tube 5 years ago and really should’ve binned it 3 years ago. It started to smell really bad. I just think there are so many more sophisticated balms around these days.

Darphin Intral Toner
Really nice gentle hydrating toner but it had the same artificial banana scent as the cleaner. Just bleurgh!

Dr. Roebuck's Polish
A surprisingly effective but not harsh face scrub. I’m just not a fan of these kind of scrubs anymore. It was messy to remove.

Farmacy Deep Moisture Mask
Just so slippery and dripping in serum. Not a nice or fun mask to use for me.

Dr. Roebuck's Coconut Hand Cream*
Just not nourishing enough for my severely dry hands.

Philip B. Shampoo & Conditioner
Did the job just fine. Very cooling and refreshing on the scalp. Samples only so hard to judge the products really.

Sephora Super Smoothing Lip Balm
I actually enjoy the balm but the packaging needs to be a screw top because the lid of this tin has become stuck and I can't get it open.

Do you spot any faves here? Or anything you disagree with on me here? I'd love to know...
