empties, lancome teint idole foundation, benefit gimme brow,

I know I'm not the only one who thought January started off so slowly. It just seemed to drag. I started off the month with only a couple of products in the empties box and I was convinced I wouldn't get through that many. And then suddenly it picked up and so many of the things that I'd been using started finishing up. It was super satisfying cracking open a brand new full size day moisturiser and a night cream. So onto the same old routine - the products I've finished up, how I feel about them and whether I would buy them again or not. Let's do this...
N.B. All tube cutting took place after taking the pictures ;) waste not want not.

THE ONES I WOULD LOVE TO REPURCHASE

Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser

A perfectly adequate nourishing cleanser perfect for winter mornings or as a second cleanse. Very affordable. Faint scent.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation

I finally finished up another foundation. Gorgeous coverage and finish. Great for special occasions as it’s very long wearing. Need to get a better match for my skin tone.

KIKO Fall 2.0 Mascara*

This was LE but it’s made me curious to try other mascara offering from this budget friendly brand.

Pixi Brow Tamer

A clear brow gel that does what a clear brow gel should do. Thankfully have 2 backups.

Africology Purifying Cleansing Gel

The only thing I could smell when I was all bunged up and sick a couple of weeks ago. Avoided using on sore peeling nose because of the essential oil content, but otherwise a super zingy face wash that I enjoyed trying.

Polaar The Genuine Lapland Hand Cream

Beautiful scent. Very silky formula that sinks in without feeling greasy. First time I’ve found a good enough rival to the Caudalie one I love.

Oolu Orchid Toner

Beautiful toner. Literally, it had a whole Orchid floating around majestically inside. The light watery silk texture was near enough perfect for patting into skin, or swiping on for extra cleansing, hydrating and soothing. I will miss this but would love to have in my life again if I can find it. Has a very strong floral scent though.

MonuSpa Rosewood Reviving Mist

Lovely lightweight mist that hydrates. No tingling sensation. Very gentle. Doesn’t leave face looking greasy or feeling heavy.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow - Desert

I already have my back-up of this because I love it so much. This is the perfect barely there, eye lid evening shade, with just a hint of a sheen about it.

THE ONES I MIGHT REPURCHASE

Kiko Chill Out Session Green Tea Hydrogel Face Mask*

Loved this, fit better than other hydrogel masks. Could see green tea extracts in the mask and not an unpleasant scent.

Cloud 9 Nourishing Sleep Mask*

Enjoyed the nourishing overnight mask. Stopped pumping halfway through. No sensible way to retrieve remaining product.

Alteya Organics Night Moisturiser

Gorgeous silky night cream. Thoroughly moisturising and nourishing. Not at all greasy or heavy. Pump is useless when product reaches a certain point.

Benefit Gimme Brow

Good brow pencil for everyday use. A tad pricey when there are other more affordable options out there.

Bravura Ginseng Toner

A nice everyday Glycolic Toner, very gentle. Not a fan of the bulky glass packaging.

Soap &Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel

A classic staple of a shower gel. Lasts forever. Makes skin ultra soft. Delectable scent. I just find myself wanting to try other things now.

Caudalie Divine Oil

A beautiful dry oil for face, body and hair. Love that this larger size comes with a spritzer.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil

Took me ages to use this mammoth bottle up. Multipurpose, easily absorbed. I think with the Ordinary’s rosehip on the market now at less than half the price of this, I would only buy this on sale.

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F
A dry oil almost-gritty textured serum, non-scented, absorbs and hydrates skin, non irritating and affordable.
Rosalena Rock & Rose Facial Oil

Very nourishing facial oil, immediately moisturises and softens skin. A little goes a long way.

Figs & Rouge Hydra-Activ Smart Day Cream

I really enjoyed the texture and formula of this fast absorbing moisturiser. A little pricey compared to the Nuxe Creme Fraiche one that I'm currently loving.

THE ONES I NEVER WANT IN MY LIFE AGAIN

Rodial Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel

Didn’t understand this product. Is it a serum? In which case what does it actually target? Or is it a moisturiser? In which case, it isn’t hydrating enough at all. Loved the sanitary pump up packaging but hated the product so used it up on my legs.

Sanctuary Spa 12 Hour Shower Cream

Lovely scent. Not hydrating enough on the skin at all.

The Organic Pharmacy Hand Cream

Pleasant scent but not very long lasting.

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel

Didn’t like the weird floating rose bits.

Indeed Labs Hydraluron

Pill-up Central. I know this was very popular among people a couple of years ago but I’ve been using it on and off and sometimes it’s just about okay. Most times it pills up and anything I place on top gets ruined. Not a fan. Glad it’s over.

Sister & Co Coconut Milk Bath Soak

A delightful treat but it was a one time thing just to try it out. Also packaging is beautiful but completely not suited to the product.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Purity Mask

I haven’t used this Is ages but I remember not enjoying it all that much and I’m actually getting rid of whatever’s left. I like the scent but it’s not a mask I enjoy much at all.

Darphin Intral Cleanser

A gentle cleanser that is skin soothing but the scent transformed into one of artificial banana to me when I started using it daily. Bleurgh!

La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution

A perfectly good micellar water but not as affordable as my favourite Simple one. So I don't really need it in my life again.

Do you spot any faves here? Is there anything here you disagree with? I'd love to know...
