september empties, mini reviews, skincare reviews,

Even though I took a long blogging break a few weeks ago, that didn’t stop me from using up lots of beauty products. I know this post is rather late but I still wanted to get it up as these posts serve as a bit of a record and reference for myself more than anything. As we near the end of the year I have to say I am quite impressed with just how much I’ve used up already. I was such a hoarder before that finishing up a product was so rare for me and I genuinely dreaded it so much that things just went on and on. Now I can’t wait to use something up and put it in my Empties box all ready for reviewing in this here mini way.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
Always. Forever. The best.

Soap & Glory The Rushower
Best dry shampoo I’ve tried - no white streaks!!! Delicious scent and volumises hair beautifully.

Malin & Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser
The Husband’s first ever contribution to Empties. I tried it and it’s gorgeous. But none of that matters. What matters is this has got him moisturising. That’s what matters. He even requested I repurchase this for him. *small celebratory fanfare please*

Pure Potions Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Ointment
For my daughter’s eczema. Lovely natural balm. Stops her from itching and is a budget friendly product.

Boots Botanics Organic Facial Oil
My first ever facial oil that I’ve used bottles and bottles of. I used this bottle on my girls every morning.

Urban Veda Soothing Body Wash*
Beautifully creamy gel formula. Smells soothing and uplifting simultaneously. Enjoyed every drop.

Caudalie Hand Cream
Favourite hand cream ever in a pleasant scent.

Other products I used up:

Soap & Glory Butter Yourself
BonVivant Sheet Mask
Hada Labo Ultimate Anti-Ageing Facial Mask
Skinfood Propolis & Bee Venom Mask

THE ONES I MIGHT REPURCHASE (basically if it ever goes on sale)

Salon Science Hydrasorb Intensive Masque*
A hydrating hair mask with a lovely fresh scent. Sometimes left my hair feeling a little brittle and frizzy.

Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara
Gorgeous packaging. Got better as it dried. Good for defined, long lashes with a little added volume. Would’ve carried on using it except it started smelling really bad. Like...really bad! I mean I have had it since the beginning of the year so...fair play Scandal Queen.

Benefit Gimme Brow
Would never pay full price for this although I really like how quick and easy it is to use and butch up brows.

Stila Stay All Day Liner
Was my favourite liquid liner for a minute but I’ve just found others I prefer now and I think I’m off felt nibs right now. Still a great option, very black and long lasting.

Marks & Spencer Formula Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream
Lush, rich cream. Very sophisticated texture.

Victoria Secret Sensual Blush Hydrating Body Lotion
Love this more for the irresistibly gorgeous scent rather than its ability to thoroughly moisturise.

Sanctuary Spa Therapist's Secret Facial Oil
Very thick textured. Started off enjoying it. Then got bored of it. Used it up on my body (great Hidden Harmony World tip to make use of products without wasting).

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream
I gave this a good shot but ultimately despised it. A weird texture that was difficult to work with and didn’t absorb easily into the eye area. Used it up on my legs.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Pads
Not saturated enough to excite me. Didn’t feel like they did much. Ended up using them on my lips.

Burt's Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream
A lush hand cream but the almond frangipane scent is very strong. I’ve previously had a full size pot of this and used it up while hating the scent.

The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream
Beautiful scent. Not hydrating enough.

Ooh Argan Oil
Nothing exciting. Just an oil. Used it on my arms and legs.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%
I actually love the results of this serum and after gagging through the hideous unbearable smell the many times I did use it, I finally decided it wasn’t worth the discomfort and ordeal. This isn’t empty but I can’t bring myself to use it again.

Korres Black Pine Oil Anti-Wrinkle Oil
A very light textured oil that provides no nourishment or hydration. Would be fine but I did see any great firming results. Ended up using on my legs, for which is wasn’t anywhere near hydrating enough either.

Madara Fine Line Moisturiser
Just used this up to use it up. Nothing exciting or special. A good moisturiser but not good enough to warrant a repurchase.

Do you spot anything here you'd like to try or that you detest? Do you like reading Empties posts or are they getting boring? I'd love to know what you think...
