New Beauty Additions | August

We're doing this again guys - a quick run through some of the new beauty bits you can get your hands on this month from a few of the fabulous beauty subscriptions on offer. Yes, I re-subscribed to Latest In Beauty because I spotted some great bits on there and couldn't pass them up. While the other two boxes are packed with some really super exciting brands and products that I am chuffed to try. So lets do this...

There's something about American brands slowly trickling into the UK market that is so exciting. And this month, Love Me Beauty have some exciting new goodies from Buxom Cosmetics on offer. I've tried ordering Buxom products from Sephora before but they wouldn't ship them here so I am over the moon to have a couple of bits to try out. Buxom Cosmetics Full-On Lip Polish (Dolly) is a pretty rosy pink gloss that tingles slightly on application and plumps the lips ever so slightly. I am loving layering this on top of drying liquid lipsticks. You should all know by now that I much prefer mascara samples/minis and so I am thrilled to have Buxom Cosmetics Lash Mascara to try out soon.

I've tried a few bits from Kat Von D already, but ironically I've not tried anything new since the brand launched in Debenhams. You can try out the newly released fragrances which come in these mini spritz bottles (which can be refilled by the way - I realised this because the whole top came off when I first pulled it open!). I have Kat Von D Perfume - Saint which I'm over the moon about because I prefer lighter, gourmand scents and this combines floral notes with caramel, mandarin, plum and vanilla. It's a decent sample size too that I've been enjoying using over the past few days.

There is also Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in the line-up. I have the shade Cathedral which is a welcome addition to my collection. Its a deep berry rose shade that is about as vampy and dark a lip colour as I like to take it and looks absolutely stunning. Also, who can resist the stunning packaging!? Finally you can also pick Kat Von D Setting Powder which is one I am truly excited to try being the powder addict that I am.

As always, you get 60 credit points to spend on the site, with every product allocated a certain point value. All orders come with gorgeous makeup bags/pouches every time too.

Latest In Beauty - Build Your Own Box

I cancelled my running my subscription last month because I'm pretty set for makeup and skincare for a long while, but I spotted some great hair products crop up in the selection so decided to place a new order. I chose mainly hair products, including one for the Hubs, and a few body bits too.

For my hair I picked:

Batiste Smooth It Frizz Tamer - I haven't had much luck with Batiste Dry Shampoo over the years but a full size anti-frizz treatment is one I couldn't resist trying.

Umberto Gianinni Curl Jelly Scrunching Jelly - My hair is naturally wavy and I struggle to keep it looking tame so I wanted to try this as it promises to help with frizz too. I've tried it a couple of times already and can't say I'm the biggest fan of the crunchy texture of leaves in my hair but after brushing through I have noticed my waves staying more defined and looking neater.

Living Proof Healthy Hair 5 in 1 Styling Treatment is something I've read great things about and this worked out to be an absolute bargain.

Moroccanoil Treatment Light - I've been using the regular version and I love it. So I thought I'd try this version which is meant to be better for fine hair.

Maria Nila Luminous Colour Masque - This is not a brand I've heard much about but the credentials look amazing. This Swedish hair care brand offer cruelty free, vegan products. I don't care too much about the colour protection but I am enjoying this as a hydrating hair mask. It smells incredible.

The two body bits I've got are Cowshed Gorgeous Cow Blissful Body Lotion, Roger & Gallet Bois d'Orange Lait Sorbet Body Lotion. I definitely seem to be branching out and trying out a whole range of new body lotions this year which I'm loving. I also picked Carmex Lime Twist Lip Balm because I once was a die hard fan of Carmex and I love citrus scents so I thought it would be nice to try this. Finally we have Toni & Guy Styling Putty for the hubs - not really much else to say about that except it's a full size product which is great.

Again, I'm really impressed by the generous sizes available on Latest In Beauty, especially because some of these are full size, so for the price it's an absolute bargain!

Look Fantastic Beauty Box - Global Glamour*

Crammed with £43 worth of products from around the globe, this month Look Fantastic is taking us on a journey and have provided us with everything we need to look good along the way. I'm most excited to see Mane 'N Tail Shampoo & Conditioner in the box because I've read some great things about them and I can't wait to give them a go. There's also a Korres Body Lotion which I already have but I'm not complaining about having another one of these in my stash. You will receive either the Gatineau Toner or Cleanser in your box. It's quite exciting to see a Korean BB Cream in the mix too although this shade is, surprise surprise, far too fair to work on my skin tone. I am tempted to try it just to see what the formula is like and if it is truly magical. Finally we have an egg shaped lip balm by Lottie London and a brown eyebrow pencil by Lord & Berry.

Do you spot any faves here? Which of these boxes/subscriptions interests you the most? I'd love to know...
