uk monthly beauty subscriptions reviewed

You all know the drill. It's that time when I take you through a few monthly beauty subscriptions and show you what you can get inside each one. This month, I made a huge decision which I keep having to remind myself is for the best. Keep reading to see what summery goodies you'll get in your Look Fantastic Beauty Box, what new and exciting things are happening over at Love Me Beauty and finally what I chose this month from Latest In Beauty.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Pretty In Paradise July 2017 Review

Look Fantastic Pretty In Paradise Beauty Box* | £15 p/m free p&p
Let's just start with the obvious fact - the box is gorgeous! Gorgeous! It gives me all the summery vibes I need in my life to cheer me up. Onto the products and this month you'll get a range of things to get you looking sunkissed and glowing, including a bronzer, a versatile highlighting crayon and to make sure you're sunkissed and not sunburnt, a really lovely sun protection moisturiser. Mimitika Face Sunscreen SPF50 is a lush soft cream that melts right into my skin and is hydrating and rich enough that I don't need to use two separate products to moisturise and protect my skin. There's also a decent sized tube of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and a travel sized bottle of Cowshed Chamomile Refreshing Toner which I am very excited to try. The last item is a tube of toothpaste which seems a little random. Having said that, I used it every day and I loved it. Haha!

Latest In Beauty review, build your own box subscription

Latest In Beauty Build Your Own Box | from £9 p/m free p&p

So for my big decision that no one will be stressing about except for me...I cancelled my running subscription!!! I know. I know. I love this one and their selection is unbeatable and I've gotten my hands on some great products through this service. But this month, I decided to cancel it because I cheekily placed an extra order a few days before and then by the time my renewal date rolled around, there wasn't anything left in the selection that I desperately wanted and I didn't want to spend £18 on 9 back-ups. What I will do is, when I spot something(s) I really would love or might need, then I'll restart the subscription. But until then I'm going to enjoy the bits I did choose in my additional order.

As soon as I saw Paula's Choice 1% Retinol Treatment was in the line-up I knew I needed to get it. And getting it this way only cost me £3 rather than £53 so it would've been criminal not to! I've been using it every 3rd night since I got it and whilst it's still early to comment on how effective it is for anti-ageing, it hasn't caused me any irritation or breakouts, so it's looking great so far. I also got Institut Esthederm L'Osmoclean Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser which retails for £26 so yet another bargain. The texture of this cream cleanser is quite thick but I suppose that's what helps it stick to the unwanted gunk in the pores and cleanse them off. Finally I chose Evolve Beauty Daily Renew Facial Cream which is a natural and organic product made here in the U.K. I've tried a shower gel from them previously and wasn't totally wowed by it but this moisturiser is already more pleasing to me. It smells nice and is thoroughly hydrating without being overly greasy on the skin.

Love Me Beauty review, Vacation Vibes monthly beauty subscription

Love Me Beauty Vacation Vibes* | £10 p/m + p&p

From this month, Love Me Beauty are changing things up a bit to give customers more choice and room with their service. The limited edition edits are no more and instead you can select a product until it's out of stock. You will still get 60 credit points each month to pick the products you want and your order will arrive in a gorgeous makeup bag. And right now you can choose from the excellent Nip + Fab Glycolic Cleansing Pads, a choice of beautiful Nails Inc Nail Polishes and EcoTools brushes, among other things. I'm looking forward to trying out the Rodial Dragon's Blood Eye Mask because Lord knows I can do with a helping hand in that department. And if you are signing up for the first time, feel free to use the code: ummbaby17 to receive a free EcoTools Blending Duo with your order! :)

Do any of these subscriptions sing to you? What products tickle your fancy here? I'd love to know...

  1. I don't subscribe to any Beauty Boxes because I have a tonne of sample sizes of products already. That being said, Latest In Beauty have some amazing brands and that is the one I am most tempted by! xx

  2. Such a fun way to share multiple beauty boxes. I cancelled my subscription to Latest in Beauty as they don't get new products very frequently so you end up running out of products quickly xx

  9. The only beauty box I've ever subscribed to is the love me beauty one, and after struggling to resist restarting my subscription lately I gave in this month. I love the great selection of products they seem to have lately, and I am especially excited to try the Eco Tools Blending duo.

  17. Love Me Beauty looks really good! So good that you have that many options. In Australia there's not a lot of subscription service, and the ones that have been around for a while aren't even worth signing up for (they give you crappy little samples).
