nude makeup, natural makeup, no makeup makeup for medium asian indian skin

Like most makeup addicts, I love playing around with makeup, experimenting with new techniques or colours and trying out new products all the time. But in all honesty the makeup I love doing the most and the one I do most often is a good old nude look. This is the makeup that looks so natural I could fool someone into thinking I'm not wearing much or any makeup at all. I think everyone has their go-to nude makeup look and here are the products I've been reaching for lately to achieve this perfect no makeup makeup, natural beauty accentuating look.

Before purchasing Estee Lauder Double Wear Light I used to struggle with base products that provided enough coverage to make me feel confident but that didn't look too full on. When I need to go visit family or attend a meeting at my daughters' school I really don't like to look done up at all and that why this base product has been a game changer for me. It gives a decent amount of coverage without being heavy or really very detectable on the skin, lasts a long time and is great at combatting shine.

I love using powders to fill in my sparse brows but for this look I like to keep it looking naturally full rather than helped along with makeup even though I use makeup to achieve this. Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows has the tiniest little brush that coats all the hairs in the tinted brow gel, bulks my brows up without looking obvious and gives them that naturally full look we all desire.

For my eyes I am very much a one swipe and blend kinda girl for my nude makeup look, relying on cream shadows to give me some colour on my eye lids as close as possible to my natural eye lid colour. Recently I discovered Topshop Matte Smoke Stick - Sphere and have been obsessed with it since. Its a chubby crayon that glides on, easily blended with only my finger for a natural sweep of colour and the formula is long lasting and not prone to creasing.

When I want a nude look with a little more dimension, I have been reaching for Trish McEvoy Light & Life Eye Color Palette II* which is a lovely mix of shades designed to accentuate the eyes in the most subtle and natural way. Apart from the white shade and the navy cream shadow, I have been loving creating beautiful nude looks with this palette. The matte shadows need a little work to blend out nicely, while the shimmers glide on with no problem. I love that the shimmery shades are super subtle when applied with a brush so I can use them daily without feeling overdone. But when used with my fingers, they apply very opaque making this a great palette for special occasion makeup too.

My most reached for shades from the Trish McEvoy Light & Lift Eye Palette II

Personally I still accompany my usual nude makeup looks with black winged liner which of course isn't the most natural looking but that's just my thing I have to do. If I really need to keep my makeup looking minimal I opt instead for a touch of brown pencil liner. My favourite is Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl - Cocoa Bean which I have used for years now and repurchased many times. Its a great shade of brown, neither too cool nor too warm and the soft formula glides on and can be blended or smudged out easily and then it stays put all day.

For my cheeks I love using No.7 Natural Blush Tint Powder - Honey which is perhaps only a touch or two shades darker than my natural skin tone making it the perfect nude blush for me. Sadly it was discontinued and so I use it sparingly while I search for a worthy dupe. I also tend to opt for bronzers as blushers for this look as they add dimension and colour without looking too colourful on the skin. Cream blushers are also another favourite of mine for more natural looks. ColourPop Super Shock Blush - Aphrodisiac is a gorgeous muted dusty beige pink to mimic my naturally flushed colour. This shade works with so many looks and different eye makeups that I find myself using it a lot.

Bite Beauty Multistick - Cashew is a great multi-use product that I love to use together on my cheeks and lips when I use it. It can also be used on the eyes but I find it creases on me so I avoid it. But on the cheeks, it provides a lovely flush of colour that is diffused beautifully with a stippling brush for a warm colouring for the complexion. And on the lips it makes a gorgeous 'my lips but better' shade that is pigmented and long-lasting without looking over the top.

For my ultimate undetectable nude makeup look though I avoid lipstick altogether and prefer a lip balm to add shine and moisture to the lips. I am so happy to have Trish McEvoy Lip Perfector Conditioning Balm* in my life because not only does it hydrate my lips without making them sticky or greasy feeling, it also adds the most natural tint of colour to my lips, making them appear naturally voluminous and healthy with a hint of natural pink.
