New Beauty Additions | February

Monday, February 20, 2017

Another month, another batch of goodies added to my ever-growing stash. I've been lucky enough to be sent some really interesting and exciting things to play with this month. I've also changed onto a new monthly subscription box which I can't believe I didn't pay attention to before. Without further ado, here are my New Beauty Additions for the month of February...

look fantastic beauty box review

Look Fantastic Box* | from £13 per month

Titled runway ready, this month's #LFBeautyBox is another corker filled with a lovely variety of things to get you feeling and looking great from the inside out. The box includes a Vitamin blend to help strengthen hair and nails. There's also a full size moisturiser from the most-talked about brand of right now, The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors. The Polaar Icy Magic Eye Roll On and This Works Stress Check Breathe In Roller Ball are just what I need to de-stress. I'm excited to try the Borghese Face Mask...I have the brightening mud mask which is perfect for me. Finally the one makeup item this month is Model Co Eyelites Metallic Shadow in a gorgeous rose gold shade.

Latest In Beauty | from £9 per month

This month I was searching for a new monthly subscription to sign up to...thankfully Dagmara (Mummy's Beauty Corner) suggested this one, and a quick glance at their selection and subscription prices had me signing up & awaiting dispatch of my box before the night was over ;)

I definitely got overexcited by selecting the 9 product option but how could I resist?!? There were so many things I wanted to try and a couple of bits I knew I needed back-ups of. I don't necessarily need any of these items but considering they essentially cost me £2 each, I'm a happy bunny!

I'm all about cleansers these days so not surprising that I ordered a couple more to add to my skincare stash. I love using Rodial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream as an intense hydrating mask and a nourishing cleanser and I think 70ml for £2-£3 is a bargain. I've never tried anything by Philosophy and this 90ml bottle retails for £8.50 (another bargain!) and I've only heard great things about Aurelia so I am curious about how well this Refine & Polish Miracle BalmWeleda Skin Food is one of my Winter Skin Saviours so a back-up seemed wise. I picked Mandara Spa Hand Butter because a girl can never have too many hand creams and this is one of my favourite body care brands. Of course I couldn't stop myself from getting some more sheet masks. I've wanted to try Masque Bar Green Tea Sheet Mask for the longest time and I was super excited to see Dermovia and Skin 111 masks in the mix too. Finally I picked a face oil from a brand I've seen featured by Beautylymin quite a lot - Oils Of Heaven Argan Oil.

I still can't believe this monthly subscription is such good value for money. It costs £9 for 3 products, or £15 for 6 or £18 for 9 products and that's INCLUDING P&P. I'll probably only pick 3 items next month though as I have plenty to get on with now. They also have some amazing collection boxes you can purchase straight off and I was close to purchasing the Le Fashion Fetish Box - so many incredible products I've resisted adding to my collection!

buttermilk skincare products, missha 3 step brightening sheet mask review

Missha 3 Step Sheet Masks* | £3.50 each

When I placed my Buttermilk Skincare order a couple of weeks ago, the founder of the site, Jenna was kind enough to include a couple of these new 3-Step masks to try out. They contain the cleanser, serum and sheet mask all in one pack which is great for travel and also if you don't want to think about what products to use. It's easily laid out for you, all you have to do is indulge. I've got Brightening and Nourishing and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they perform.

Swiss Clinic Skin Renewal Treatment* | £84

While at-home microneedling can be a little controversial, I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about. I think as long as you're careful and diligent with the sanitising of the tool, it should be okay. I've never tried anything of the sort whether at home or in clinic and I'll admit I'm a little apprehensive. I'll give it a go and report back with my experiences soon. Let me know if you've tried it yourself and what you feel about it.

I also received a new OGX duo to try out - Keratin Oil Shampoo & Conditioner - which came dressed as bride and groom in time for Valentine's day. I'm all about the cutesy touches and curious to see how I get along with them as I didn't have much luck with the Argan Oil range and really love the scent of the Collagen range. Also, something completely new for me to experience is brow and lash dying thanks to ColorSport kits. I am so excited to try the brow dye to see if I can indeed give some meat to my brows without them needing serious attention every single day.

I hope you enjoyed my little round-up of all the exciting new things I have to play with and test out over the next few weeks. Let me know if you spot any favourites here and why you love them. Until next time...
