A Second Sephora Haul

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

I've had a case of 'blogger's block' recently with tonnes of posts lined up and sadly no time or motivation to get publishing. But what better way to come back than to share my Sephora haul with you all?!? As ordering from Sephora is such a treat, despite numerous temptations throughout the year, I reserved this again for my birthday month. You can read all about the beautiful goodies I got last year here: My First Ever Sephora Order

If you're more interested in what I got this time round...scroll on down ;)

SKINCARE

Peter Thomas Roth Meet Your Mask Sampler Kit | $25

This lovely little sampler set contains 14ml each of 6 masks which is more than enough for me to gauge whether or not I want to purchase full sizes of any of these. I have my eye mostly on the Irish Moor & Pumpkin Enzyme masks which I think will suit my skin and what I need from masks most from this selection though I am happy to be able to try them all. Last year I missed out on the larger sample set, which is back this year, but now I'm better off putting that money towards a full size tub.

Drunk Elephant DayGlow | $23
Drunk Elephant NightBright | $28

This brand is growing in popularity because of positive reactions and reviews to their small line of products, based around simple routines, great ingredients and feeding the skin with only what is good. I opted for these 2 sets as together they contain the 4 products I wanted and despite them only containing 8ml of product each, this is a great way for me to try them out before deciding which of them to purchase in full size. I'm most excited about the 2 serums which sound incredible. I also really love the clean but fun look of the packaging which is sure to brighten up my cabinet.

MAKEUP

Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation - Warm Tan | £24

It is only as I type this post up that the amazing news of ABH finally having a UK site has reached us. Before that the only options were directly from their site (risk of huge customs charges) and Sephora. Which is precisely why I ordered this new foundation because I didn't know when it would be readily available here. This promises medium buildable coverage with a natural finish. I love the huge range of shades available but mostly the price tag.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream - Medium | Review$38

Another base product but actually one I've had before and reviewed in great detail too except it was in the wrong shade, regardless of how much I tried to convince myself that it worked. This is that perfect everyday foundation that gives a very luminous finish which is perfect for winter time for me as my skin isn't nearly as oily as it can be. The shade is a much better match albeit on the lighter side but nothing that a little bronzer can't fix.

Bite Beauty Multistick - Cashew | $24

This is one of the products I was most excited to get my hands on because I don't have anything else like this in my collection. This can be used on the eyes, cheeks and lips and I kid you not when I say this is that gem that you need if you literally don't have enough time to do your makeup every morning. Its a deliciously creamy texture that glides on anywhere. On the eyes, I apply it with my finger and blend and I'm done. I should mention that I do need to set it with a little powder/eyeshadow or it creases on my eyelids. On the cheeks it gives a flush of colour that looks so natural with a little luminosity and on the lips it is exceptionally pigmented and creamy so much so I forget I'm wearing anything. Its an incredible product that I wish I had bought in 3 more shades.

Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Set | $25

I've been itching to try the Amuse Bouche formula for a while now and so when I saw this set came with 3 of the shades I wanted I just had to get it. Although the lipsticks are tiny, I get to try the formula and shades out for almost the same price as one full size lipstick. I do have another Bite Lipstick from last year but my only gripe with that is that the lipstick is a little sheer for my liking so I'm hoping the reviews are truthful with this formula. The red tin is just adorable.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint - Bestie | $20

I didn't realise at the time of ordering that this is actually my first ever Tarte product (only a big deal for BeautyJunkies to take note of their first ever product from any brand...lol)! I'm always wanting to try out every liquid lipstick formula and this was on the hit list but I opted for the exclusive Holiday shade which looks like a great nude shade that will work on my medium skin.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick - Allison | $20

Another liquid lipstick that's forever been on the wish list is this iconic one. I decided to get this Holiday exclusive shade with this one too because its a gorgeous rosy mauve that I know I will get a lot of use out of. I'm quite impressed with the formula and it really does have lasting power too. Though in all honesty, I think they're quite pricey (£20 each) and I could get a similar if not superior liquid lipstick for much cheaper by a number of different brands.

TOOLS

Sephora Pro Brushes have been in my Sephora basket for a couple of years now and I finally got my hands on two of them mainly because they were on sale. I don't need any other brushes right now so I couldn't justify getting any others as they are actually quite pricey and really I could get Bobbi Brown brushes (Read about my collection here) for almost the same price. Regardless, I got Sephora Pro Crease Brush | $22 (currently only $11) and Sephora Pro Small Stippling Brush | $32 (currently only $15) both of which have their own caps and beautiful long handles that feel super luxe.

EXTRAS

Marc Jacobs Birthday Gift

The reason why I only buy from Sephora in December is because its my birthday month which means I get to have an amazing freebie sent with my order. I won't lie...I've wanted this since I saw it at the beginning of the year so it's been a long wait for me. The lipstick is adorable and the shade looks like something I would generally pick anyway and I have a longstanding love affair with eye pencils so win win!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Annoyingly this was the only point perk I could have shipped to UK and of course more annoying because this isn't a brand that is US/Sephora exclusive. Either way I am glad to have this deluxe sample size to try it out and maybe reserve for my travel bag.

SMALL PRINT

Just a quick reminder of how it works to order from Sephora to UK as a lot of people have asked me already over on Instagram (ummbaby):

  • £6 shipping fee for orders over £75
  • Taxes & Duties worked out at checkout (this is what really drives up the total)
  • e.g. this order was just over £200 with an additional charge of almost £50 in Duties & Taxes!!!
  • No additional customs charges upon arrival to UK
  • Delivered via DHL with full tracking of order
  • Best to use a desktop to create your shopping basket as this will tell you straight away which items are restricted and cannot be shipped to UK

I hope this helps and I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got from Sephora this year. As I continue to use the products, I'll have reviews and posts up so keep your eyes peeled for feedback on this haul. Thanks for reading and sticking by me even though I've not been on a blogging high recently.

Is anything here on your wish list too? What would you order from Sephora? Let me know...
