new skincare from beautybay

This past weekend BeautyBay had a little discount promotion so I took full advantage and ordered some things I've had on my beauty wish list for a while. I'm still on track with not buying any new makeup but I did sneak in a makeup brush and of course more skincare bits.

mario badescu facial spray, sigma f35, antipodes manuka honey eye cream, peter thomas roth unwrinkle peel pads

The one that's been in my BeautyBay basket for the longest time:

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater | £6.50

I feel like this must be one of the most popular items on BeautyBay as it's got a bit of a cult following, promising to soothe, hydrate and tone all in one. I love a good face mist but I'm not a huge fan of rose scented products which is what deterred me from ordering this all these days. I finally gave in and decided it was worth risking the rose especially smell since I started using the PMD and need something gentle to spritz all over the face after each session. This doesn't contain alcohol making it great for spritzing throughout the day too without being drying.

The one I've been lusting after for the longest time:

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads | £29.95

These are the exfoliating pads Binita (Hidden Harmony World) recommended to me for when I want a serious acid fix. They contain a 20% acid complex including glycolic, salicylic, lactic and linolenic acid to break down dead skin cells effectively and keep pores clear. These pads are also meant to help regenerate new skin cells and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, hence the name. I look forward to trying them as they're meant to be super effective while being gentle on the skin. You get a hefty tub with 60 saturated pads though I know I won't be using these more than once a week.

The brand I've wanted to try for the longest time:

Sigma Beauty F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush | £18.75 (no longer available on BeautyBay)

Anyone who ever watched any US Beauty YouTubers a few years back will have left every video with an arm's length wish list of Sigma brushes which seemed to be the secret to achieving flawless makeup from application to finish. I went from wanting the full set, to a select few brushes that have become somewhat iconic including this brush. It's a small tapered brush meant for highlighting and is exactly the kind of brush shape I find myself steering towards and plan to use to set my under-eye makeup. I use these kind of brushes for almost everything - for setting my under-eye concealer, blending out contour, applying highlighter, for applying face powder etc. I plan on getting the Zoeva version next.

The one that I've waited longest for to be released in UK:

Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream | £35.99 (no longer available on BeautyBay)

Since I used up my Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream, I've been struggling with overnight eye care. I have an eye serum but sometimes I don't want to use something so rich and it makes me really miss my beloved eye cream which I always intended to repurchase. That was until I saw the release of a new Antipodes range - Manuka Honey (one of my favourite skincare ingredients) and patiently awaited its release here in U.K. This eye cream claims to hydrate, nourish and brighten the under eyes. I have a strong feeling I will love it just as much as the Kiwi Seed Oil version, if not more.

Did you purchase anything new over the weekend? Have you finally gotten your hands on something you've wanted to buy for ages? Let me know...
