Empties #3 + Mini Reviews

So I'm back with another Empties post and these have long been meant for the recycling bin. I've got some skincare, some body bits and a whole bunch of sheet masks to talk about so here goes:

Boots Botanics Cleansing Balm | post£8.99

When I first got this I was disappointed that it didn't emulsify upon contact with water and although it cleanses the skin beautifully, I wrote this off as one of those products I just need to use to use up. Months later and I've fallen head over heels for this stuff. It does such an incredible job at cleansing and softening the skin and for an incredible price too.

Repurchase? Yes, most definitely!
What's next? I'm using lots of cleansing balms but I'm focusing a lot on Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm right now.

SuperFacialist Salicylic Acid Purifying Cleansing Wash | post£7.99

This face wash is the first thing I reach for when I suffer from breakouts or if I feel like my skin is a little angry at any given time. It contains salicylic acid and gently cleanses the skin, leaving it less irritated and helps to get rid of any spots.
Repurchase? I've already got a back-up.

What's next? I'm loving Good Things Manuka Honey Cleanser right now and getting through it quickly too.

Superdrug Vitamin E Gentle Micellar Water | £2.99

I don't think this micellar water is as effective as its meant to be. It's able to take off some face makeup but I can't use it on my eyes as it really stings which is a shame as I prefer to use micellar waters to break down the bulk of my eye makeup before going in with a different cleanser.

Repurchase? I don't think so.
What's next? I'm currently using Good Things Acai Berry Micellar Water and it smells so good!

Bravura Revitalising Ginseng Toner | £12.40

Pretty much identical in ingredients as the infamous Pixi Glow Tonic, this orange glass bottle is a great glycolic acid toner that leaves the skin softer, brighter and looking healthier.

Repurchase? Already have a back-up bottle as I knew I'd love it.
What's next? I'm reverting to a non-acid toner just to see how differently my skin behaves and I'm using Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner to help me in my experiment.

Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream | £25.99

I love this eye cream and used it almost daily at night. It's rich without being heavy, hydrating without being greasy and an all-round solid eye cream that contains only natural ingredients. At first I resented the rather large tub as its shells life is only 6 months but thankfully it survived a long while after that too meaning I got my money's worth for sure.

Repurchase? ABSOLUTELY!
What's next? I'm using Three Organics Rejuvenating Eye Serum in the evenings now.

Boots Botanics Triple Age Renewal Hydrating Eye Serum | post£9.99

This is one of my favourite day time eye creams as it is super hydrating but so light weight on the skin. It absorbs quickly and ensures my eye area is kept protected and moisturised. It's a simple thing that it simply great.

Repurchase? Yes, already on my 3rd tube of the stuff.
What's next? I've gone back to SuperFacialist Neroli Firming Eye Cream

Superdrug Vitamin E Intensive Moisture Cream | post£2.99

I bought this and the regular Vitamin E cream at the same time hoping this would be better for my severely dehydrated dry winter skin. Sadly this is less nourishing and hydrating than the regular version and I found myself needing to force myself to use this up. Not cool.

Repurchase? Nope!
What's next? I'm using Good Things Miracle Mattifier on my dehydrated oily combination summer skin now.

Tony Moly I'm Real Mask Sheets | £2.87 (x3)

I finally got myself some of these popular masks and have been admiring them for their cuteness and convenience ever since. The Lemon Brightening one didn't give me instant results the way I had hoped but I feel like if I used them more consistently it would. I love how emollient the Avocado Nutrition mask is.

Repurchase? I will definitely be stocking up on more of these.

Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet | post£2.36 (x3)

These are cheap, cheerful and really actually very good. They're super saturated to the point that the serum drips off the masks and your face (hence...Juicy Mask) and it's just a great little way to boost moisture and radiance into the skin.

My Beauty Diary Black Pearl

I treated myself to a box of these after Hidden Harmony World mentioned them to me in one of our endless beauty conversations. For me, these feel a little more luxurious than the previous 2. It left my skin glowing, brighter and super soft to the touch.

Luckily these come in a box of 10 but once they're used up, I can see myself wanting to re-stock.

Missha 3D Bamboo Sheet Mask | £6.10 (x7)

Quite possibly the most obscure sheet mask ever in that the mask itself is made from a very thick material that has been stitched and sewn in various parts in order to make it '3D'. The result is an odd thing that doesn't fit on my face properly, saturated in a mediocre fluid with no significant results.

Azure Internationale Spa Collagen Woven Facial Mask | post

This is one of the cheapest masks I've come across and it just happens to be rather lovely. It's hydrating, soothing and leaves my skin plump.

Most likely, yes.

Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off Mask | £1

I've tried lots of these masks in their various flavourings and textures. But this is one of my favourites. It's a gloopy honey scented texture that dries and is easily peeled off to reveal beautiful, healthy skin.

I already have ;)

Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash | £6.50

The thing I love the most about these huge bottles of shower gel from Soap & Glory is that they're huge and they last for ages. Obviously, not so great if you don't like the scent but thankfully I love this one. Not as much as Sugar Crush or Clean On Me, but I really like it.

Repurchase? Already have another bottle in my stash.
What's next? I've been using the new Soap & Glory Shower Jelly in the Sugar Crush scent since this finished.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter | post£10

Just another tub of this done and dusted. Smooth, soft skin thanks to this gorgeously thick and dreamy cream.

Repurchase? I've got 2 or 3 of these stashed away. Can't be without this beauty in my life...my skin is just too dry.
What's next? A beautiful bottle of Victoria's Secret Body Lotion.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius | post | £5.50

I feel like every Empties post will contain this. Its an amazing foot cream that I literally can't live without.

Repurchase? Always and forever.
What's next? Like its a mystery! Lol!

I Love...Cherry Almond Sparkle Bath & Shower Creme | post

I loved this when it was super cold and I wanted a quick bath to warm up. It smells like bakewell tart though it didn't feel great on my skin. It felt a little drying.

Repurchase? Maybe if I find it for really cheap next winter.
What's next? I have another one of these in a fruity scent.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment | £8.99

My sister got this to try on my little girl who suffers from eczema and I actually fell head over heels with it for myself. So of course I ordered a few more tubs of it because I just can't have enough of this lovely silky balm. It keeps my skin super soft and supple all day long.

Repurchase? Ermmm...YUP!
What's next? So many options, so little time.

Inecto Coconut Hand & Nail Cream

I really didn't like this at all. It somehow made my hands feel dryer and more irritated when I used it.

Repurchase? Never.
What's next? I'm working through The Body Shop Argan hand cream which smells delicious.

Cuticura Intensive Hand & Nail Cream

This hand cream isn't the worst but I just didn't like the scent at all. It didn't moisturise my hands or keep them hydrated for very long. It was a random purchase at Savers that was cheap...that's the story.

Repurchase? Nope.
