asian skincare haul concealer foundation haul

Two beauty hauls in the space of a few weeks might seem excessive to some but I know I'm in good company here - with those who understand completely, empathise and fully support my actions. Those who wouldn't mind having a peek at what else I've added to my stash recently without judging me and giving me stern warnings about what my reckless spending might result in. So thanks guys! Let's do this!!!

nars velvet matte skin tint st moritz maybelline fit me matte and poreless 220 natural beige

MAKEUP

Although I planned to use up at least one of my base products entirely before purchasing a new foundation, I recently found myself bored with my small but beloved selection. And with the hope of summer approaching soon, there were 2 new base products on my radar that I really wanted to try from either end of the price spectrum.

As shocking as this may be, NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30/PA+++ - St Moritz | £30 is my first ever NARS foundation purchase. I've wanted to buy Sheer Glow for years but I've never taken the plunge (the no pump thing really puts me off) and for some reason ASOS never stocks my shade, which is where I tend to buy NARS products with some discount. Regardless, this skin tint is surprisingly more akin to a medium-buildable foundation, with a demi-matte finish.

If there's one thing I will never understand is why we are always so behind in getting products released here in UK and then, only a small selection of the shades are made available here. I've only heard good things about Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation - 220 Natural Beige | £5.99 and luckily for me I already know 220 Natural Beige would be an almost perfect match as I used the classic Fit Me Foundation years ago. So far, this foundation has blown me away! Mattifying, skin perfecting and still somehow so natural looking on the skin.

A long overdue purchase is of course Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer | £17.50. When I posted Lets Talk Concealers, so many people told me I needed to try this and I don't even know why it took me so long to get my hands on this. I have to say I'm loving everything about it already, from the packaging, the applicator and shades to the formula, coverage and finish. I'm so happy I finally got them.

When I picked up the concealers from Debenhams I was given the £5 Click & Collect Voucher and knowing I wouldn't be making the journey to Debenhams again anytime soon I picked up a liquid lipstick I've been meaning to try for a while. theBalm Meet Matte Hughes Liquid Lipstick - Trustworthy | £13.50 is not my usual dusky browny pink shade that I live for. Although I swatched 3 other shades I will most likely add to my collection soon, this one stood out to me as rather unique, a deep shade without being bold, and unlike any other shade in my stash.

SKINCARE

Did I need to purchase any more skincare? Well technically, no! But did that matter? Of course not! And of course, as always, all of these additions are justified and come fully equipped with a story of explanation LOL!

three organics rejuvenating eye serum and mizon argan wrapping oil

A new brand discovery for me this year that has me all excited is Three Organics which is a natural skincare brand based right here in UK. I am obsessed with their Hydrate Me Facial Oil (currently on sale) so when I saw Three Organics Rejuvenating Eye Serum | £20 was on offer, I just had to order it. My night eye cream had just come to an end and I've never tried an eye serum before. This is packed with all sorts of beautiful oils and I'm super excited to start using it. The lovely Azrina who runs the company was also kind enough to throw in a Berry Lip Balm which smells like summer berries.

I recently started using Korean skincare products and namely products by a brand named Mizon. I'm so impressed with the performance of their products and when I saw this Mizon The Pure Argan Essential Wrapping Oil | £10.55, I just needed to try it. I know I've got a surplus of facial oils in storage and rotation right now but how could I resist this though? It's super cute and packed full of great skin loving oils.

sheet mask haul berrisom animal mask, holika holika, my beauty diary black pearl

I think most everybody is all about sheet-masking these days. I was pretty late to the party but I'm fully on board. It's such a lovely way to soften the skin, inject some hydration and frighten the family. Which brings me onto the most exciting purchase which is Berrisom Animal Masks | £6.19. I opted for Tiger as it is the brightest and boldest pattern and contains red ginseng. My little girls love it so much and it means I can now finally use sheet masks while they're still awake without having to deal with their tears while looking like the Phantom. Yay! I've shown this mask in all its cuteness in this Instagram post.

I ordered two more varieties of Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheets | £2.51. I really enjoy using the Pomegranate one as it's just such a lovely cheap and cheerful product that I can slap on and not think about too much really. The Tea Tree variety is meant for spot control and I'm going to reserve them for when my skin is threatening to act up. Tomato is for firming and I could use some of that as the days go by!

Finally, upon the recommendation of the wonderful Binita (Hidden Harmony World) who absolutely loves these, I ordered a box of My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask | £10.99. This Taiwanese brand specialises in sheet masks so I'm sure I'm in for a treat. This mask is meant to be amazing for brightening the skin and giving an irresistible radiance to the face. Yes, I could use all of that!

Thank you for being understanding my friends. I hope you enjoyed reading about the exciting things I've added to my stash. Remember to follow me on Instagram where I usually share my first impressions and mini reviews for all these goodies.

Do you have any of these products? Do you wish to try any of these? What sheet masks should I try next? Let me know...

  1. I've seen the animal face masks floating around the blogging market for an age and I really want to get the panda one, I mean obviously apart from the fact they totally look cute, here's hoping they work! With the Nars sheer glow, if you got to a space NK not only do they match you, but you can also get a pump there! :) xx

  7. I can't stop spending recently so I am loving the hauls haha! Do I need the NARS velvet matte tint or not I can't decide, I have a code for £15 off £60 spend on Space NK and I am very tempted to get the Modern Minimalist box with it in it! I usually like full coverage but the medium coverage and matte finish has me swayed!

    1. The box does look great and its great value, but I resisted getting it because there were a few products in there that I know I won't really use. But if you think you would, I'd say go for it. ;) xxx

  8. The fit me looks an awful like the L'Oreal infallible, as well as sounding like it! That liquid lipstick, I can't wrap my head around the shade as it's such a beautiful colour but I can't tell whether it would suit me or not!

  9. It seems as though we're the same shade in foundations! Which do you say has more coverage - the nars velvet or the maybelline fit me? I've been eyeing both for months now (tried a sample of nars - never tried the maybelline), but haven't committed to either yet haha.

    1. Oh really? Yay! To be honest, I've tried the Maybelline one a few more times than the NARS because its just impressed me so much more. It has a little more coverage than the NARS although the NARS is buildable...xxxxx

  10. Oooh so many pretties! I'm definitely not complaining about another haul post ;) I've been eyeing the nars matte skin tint because I've been using the tinted moisturizer for the past few months and love it! But with the hot summer days coming up, I'm looking for something more matte. I've also heard good things about the urban decay concealers! They look so pigmented and smooth in your swatches. And now I know what shades to get since apparently we use the same nars shade lol. I've never tried any Holika Holika sheet masks but their price tag is making me want to :)
