beauty haul drugstore high end skincare and makeup

We are all friends here. Let us not ruin it with any mention of any kind of 'spending ban' or 'no buy'. I feel like I'm doing quite well with cutting down my spending on makeup. But its been replaced with an excessive amount of skincare purchases. So here are the things I've bought recently...

SKINCARE

Yes, I've gone a little overboard with skincare buying. It's mainly because when I was working on my Budget Skincare Post I discovered so many new things I wanted to try.

review superdrug b glycolic peel and essence lotion

B. Revealed Glycolic Cleansing Peel | £7.99
I've never tried anything from this Superdrug brand before so when I saw they had a Buy One Get One Free promotion on, I thought it time to check it out. This cleanser promises to gently exfoliate the skin by getting rid of dead skin cells, soothe and soften the skin and reveal radiant skin after cleansing. I'm hoping the mineral oil in the ingredients won't cause my skin to congest (thanks HHW as always for the heads up).

B. Refreshed Essence Lotion | £6.99
Since I've introduced Korean skincare products into my routine, I've been on the hunt for a good, affordable essence to add to my line-up, which is the step after toning and before serums. So when I heard about this number I was curious to try it out. This promises to soften, soothe and protect while providing 12 hours of moisture to the skin. I'm still looking for a Korean option so I really have nothing to compare this one's effectiveness to.

trilogy certified organic rosehip oil for blemishes, hydration and scars

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil | £28 (currently only £21.37)
If there's one facial oil that's been on my radar for the longest time and is thrown in my face the most it's this. When ASOS put this and the 20ml version on sale, I just had to snap it up. My sister's been using it for a few days and already claims it's making a noticeable difference.

I had such drama with shipping and delivery, and it arrived just short of being smashed, but it's finally here now and I'm so excited to start using it.

drugstore skincare haul nip+fab, good things and superdrug

Superdrug Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist | review | £2.99
This is the only repurchase in this haul post. This delicious scented mist is hydrating, soothing and provides a decent level of moisture. I reach for this during the day when I feel like my skin is super dehydrated and I get that tight pulling feeling. Or generally every time I pass the bottle I'll spritz it all over my face. I also like to use this between steps in my routine, especially after acid toning.

Good Things Miracle Mattifier Lotion | £7.99
As I mentioned in my Budget Skincare Post, I wanted to purchase this to see how well it performs during the warmer weather. It promises to moisturise while absorbing any excess oils which sounds like the kind of thing I need for my dehydrated combination skin. It is also meant to help keep skin blemish-free.

Nip+Fab Dragon's Blood Fix Hyaluronic Shot | £24.95 (currently £16.59)
I love the Dragon's Blood Fix range a lot but this was a completely random purchase as I had never even seen or heard of this particular product before. It was on offer at the time so I decided to get it and try it. It contains 50% hyaluronic acid and is meant to literally be a shot of hydration for the face. It can be added to moisturisers/serums for a boost or used as an intensive treatment.

So far I can't say much else except that I'm way too distracted with the fun click-pump! LOL!

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum | £14.95 (currently only £7.45)
I didn't need to purchase this as I only recently got the Dragon's Blood Fix Serum but I really enjoy using the Glycolic Fix Mask for when I want a quick brightening, softening boost so I thought I'd try the serum too. It claims to reduce the appearance of pores which I'm all for trying and to smooth out lines and wrinkles.

feel unique skincare superstars beauty box review

Feel Unique Superstar Skincare Beauty Box | £30
This box just had to happen. It's a total bargain that I just couldn't pass up, containing 6 products, 2 of which are full-size and both worth £30 a piece. I've wanted to try the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil for a long time and I've been hearing a lot about the Ren Night Time Facial a lot recently too so I'm super excited to have them. The mini products are also interesting and all seem like solid skincare products.

BODYCARE

new soap and glory shower jelly sugar crush

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Shower Jelly | £5.50
Soap & Glory can do no wrong when it comes to bath and body products. Their newest release is a shower jelly in their 2 signature scents. I have Sugar Crush which is my go-to summer scent. It is a neon bright formula that is a wobbly, jelly texture that melts and lathers up like no shower gel before. This is great value for money too because you really don't need a lot. I love how bright and bold it is as it stands tall in my shower.

MAKEUP

new lipsticks drugstore sleek makeup soap and glory

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks (new version) | £9
As I mentioned in my Soap & Glory Makeup Guide S&G have released gorgeous newly revamped lipsticks. Thankfully, my dear InstaSister @beaussima was kind enough to swatch a whole bunch of them on one of her trips to Boots, giving me a better idea of which ones I might want to try. I picked Cinnamon Beige (from the Nudes Collection) & Berry Kissable (from the Reds Collection) which are both matte shades. I'm really hoping Cinnamon Beige is the same or at least super similar to my beloved Naked Beige (read all about my infatuation hereherehere and here).

I really liked the old line of lipsticks as it catered well for all skin tones. The majority of the new shades seem like they will be too light for my complexion. Still, I'm super excited to try these and compare them to the old formula. They will most likely have their own post with swatches so watch this space!

The packaging though! Stunning!

Sleek Matte Me | £4.99
I've been enjoying the infamous Birthday Suit (review here) as a shade to top off any creamy lipstick. When I saw they released some new, more on-trend shades, Shabby Chic caught my eye. It's that dusky pink that gets me all excited. It is utterly gorgeous and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the formula is slightly better, more comfortable and less streaky.

So there you have a run-down of all the bits I've been busy buying. I feel like I need to really reign it in now as my storage drawers are getting full and I only have one face. But I'm so glad to finally have my hands on so many things I've wanted to try, some new things that caught my eye and some beautiful lipsticks of course ;)
